One day I was getting ready to teach our PE-5 students at school (Class 5). I work at Pragati Paathshala School in Jankipuram. One of my students, Naitik, is a hard working student whose parents brought their family of five to Lucknow to get better education. They all live with their aunt and her family. She's 12 years old, the oldest daughter, and studies really hard. On this particular day, she ran up to me to tell me this inspirational story -

One afternoon, Naitik was studying in her room at her Aunt's house. At that time, her cousin brother came and started looking at Naitik's book. When he saw the Maths book, he said,
"Naitik, this is a Class 6 book." Naitik smiled and eagerly said, "Yes, this is a Class 6 book. I am in Class 5, but here we are studying with a Class 6 Math book."
Naitik's cousin brother studies at a famous school in our area, which has high entrance fees that Naitik's parents wouldn't be able to afford. He continued, "Naitik, which chapter are you studying?" Naitik replied, "The factor is being taught here." Again, her cousin brother asked, "Do you know factors?!" Naitik answered, "Yes, I know it." Astonished, he asked Naitik, "Please tell me about the factors, because our Sir teaches them in our school, but I don't understand Maths. So Naitik immediately taught him about factors, and he finally understood.
Naitik's cousin brother exclaimed, "Oh, your school is such a small school, but still, they teach so well, and I understand it. But at our school, I don't even understand maths."
When Naitik came to school the next day she proudly told me this story. I was happy as her teacher to know that she was able to help her cousin brother. And that her education is growing and useful. Her parents' dream of her getting a good education is not only helping their daughter, but her cousin brother as well.
